[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had it for a month, it's doing what I need it to do, it's very bright on the inside, cleans up well, holds magnets :) One of the inside fridge door shelves did fall out which I was all but promised it would never do due to the lock-in feature, but...we are cursed with that. No more putting glass in the higher shelves, just like the old fridge.

Stylish refrigerator with lots of space.

I have had many Whirlpool appliances over the years and found them all very reliable. I really like my new refrigerator a lot except for the lighting and the missing shelf. It has one less shelf than all my previous refrigerators and the lights are too far back so that when food is in the frig, it blocks the light. The light also takes a fraction of a second longer to come on when the door is opened but that is not a major problem. I like the fact that this model comes with no ice maker. Ice makers take up too much of the freezer space, but there are few models made anymore without them. Before getting side by side, I used to like a frig with a bottom freezer as you use the freezer less so have to bend less. No one makes those anymore either. I like where the temp controls are. In general I like this refrigerator a lot and only gave it 4 stars because of the above 2 features.

Spacious with wide drawers in the doors

My husband surprised me with this refrigerator for Christmas. I like the wide drawers in the doors which can be easily adjusted for height. I like the humidity controlled drawer and having three drawers for fruits/vegetables. The light placement in the refrigerator is well placed but would suggest that they change the placement of the light in the freezer. The handles are sleek and the doors open easily. I like that the bottom cover below the doors is unobtrusive.

Check temps

I bought this particular unit because I did not want one with water and ice. So far I love it, but it's only been 2 weeks. A word of caution. Using the middle temperature setting is supposed to be the ideal temp of 0 degrees in freezer and about 37 degrees in refrigerator. Not true. It took me 3 days to get it close to those settings. I used a certified Thermoworks thermometer. With the freezer set at the warmest setting, it's at 4 below zero, which I can live with. The refrigerator is set 2 notches colder than the middle setting and is reading 34 degrees, which is my preference. At the middle setting it was reading 41 degrees, which is way too warm. This is really minor because overall I love the unit.

I found there was a lot of wasted space - so I bought an extra shelf for the refrigerator and an extra shelf for the freezer. Now I can use the space more efficiently, and neatly.I have the unit for about a month now, and am still afraid of the pulling out the bins in the refrigerator; the tracks don't seem very sturdy

Overall pleased with this purchase.

I bought this a month ago to replace my, STILL running Amana, side-by-side, purchased in 1987. The Whirlpool is a pretty thing to look at and is much quieter, but it's not as functional as my old refrigerator. The shelves of the refrigerator section although very high-tech looking are not as deep as I would like and there's a 'gap' between the back and the shelf which permits smaller items to fall down behind the bins. The bins are capacious though. I love the LED lights. We opted for the no water/ice dispenser consequently there's a little more room in the freezer.Overall we hope to have many good years of use, though we don't think it will be 27 years.
