Never had a French door fridge before. Very nice especially the doors staying open, no getting hit in the back by the door. Extra room,more than I had before. Visibility more insulation, nice looking exterior.

Great side by side

I have owner this appliance for four months. It has many nice features. It needs an additional top shelf on the refigerator side. It is a little small and combersome to find things sometimes. My wife liked the side by side feature however. We bought it without the ice maker beacuse we have a well system. Ice makers don't do well with the hight iron content in our water.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good, Simple Fridge

Perfect fridge for my needs. The veggie drawers do seem cheap, but they're holding up so far. Sometimes the fridge makes loud noise, but it's not that annoying. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase.

Whirlpool SxS w/out Icemaker

I bought this refrigerator last month, so my comments are based on that amount of experience. I had been looking for quite a while because my previous frig was 16 yo and seemed unreliable. The features I most wanted were reliable refrigeration, no icemaker, more room, less noise, and better efficiency.I was very hesitant to buy because of the expense of a new frig and concern that it wouldn't work any better than my current one. Also, I could not find a display model anywhere to verify it's quality or that it would work in my small kitchen.With a family reunion looming at Thanksgiving, I finally chose this one over a competitor's dual refrigeration french-door model (separate cooling for freezer and refrigerator) at the same price, based on the lack of icemaker and hope that the Whirlpool brand would provide reliability.Based on this short time of use, I give the following ratings:No icemaker--5Noise levels --3 (about as noisy as my previous, but not quite as strange noises)Reliable refrigeration/freezer levels--5 (using little portable thermometers to gauge)Room--4 (previous SxS had 19.5 cu ft. but had an icemaker in the freezer; there is a bit more room on both sides, but it isn't obvious. As others have mentioned, the refrigerator section isn't set up for versatility, tho the door is. )Efficiency--4 (this is a guess based simply on the fact that it's newer. Since I bought it at the beginning of winter it's hard to gauge if my electricity bill has been lower than expected, but I suspect it will be about the same as before.)Quality--3.5 (my old frig wasn't high-end, but it was more solid than this one. The shelves in the frig section are flimsy, as others have mentioned, and the whole unit shakes when it's opened and closed. I have my fingers crossed that this will not be reflected in the long-term reliability of the unit, which was my main desire.)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We needed an extra fridge in the house and have this down in the garage. Been using it for about a month now, and so far it's been pretty good. I chose this because it's affordable and doesn't have the water dispenser (don't need it in the garage) and has ample storage space! I looked at several refrigerators before deciding on this - very energy efficient, according to the manufacturer, $58 a year or something like that? Makes me feel better about having a second fridge. Also helps that there is an internal light so I don't have to worry about flicking the light switch on when my hands are full of groceries to load in.
I would recommend this to a friend!
