It keeps things chilly

This fridge isn't packed with features, but that's kind of why we bought it. It's one of the very few side-by-side refrigerators we could find that doesn't happen icemaker. And we didn't want an icemaker! That alone gets it for out of five stars.

I was thrilled to find a large side-by-side refrigerator WITHOUT a built in ice/water dispenser in the door! This fridge is as beautiful as it is functional! I love it!

I replaced our secondary refrigerator with this new Whirlpool and so far it has been a really good purchase. I feel we will have several years of no problem operations with our new purchase.

Lots of freezer space

Had a side by side many years ago. Really missed the extra freezer room when I bought one with a top freezer 5 years ago. We decided to finally go back to the side by side. Had to buy this one by only seeing it on-line. The store did not have it in stock, maybe because it does not have an ice maker, yes there are still people out there that do not want an ice maker/dispenser in the door. Got this at the end of Nov. Really like this. No problems with it and I was able to put a 20 pound turkey in the freezer, while they were on sale, and still have loads of freezer space. The refrigerator has plenty of space inside and in the door. So far, so good. I hope to have it as long or maybe longer then my last side by side that I had for 20 years.

We have the unit about 3 weeks. The doors are out of line, some of the drawers do not open smoothly and some of the packaging on one of the drawers is still not removed since you cannot take out the drawer. Why does someone not send a repair technician.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great size!

I bought this about 3 weeks ago. Good size fridge and freezer. Runs very quiet. I'm weird so I also love that the lights slowly turn on when you open the door.
