just what I am looking for

bought it a month ago ! it is just what I am looking for. The city water get me worried, I use RO water, you will not believe the differences.Pro : 1. low noise, 35-38 dB during operation which is very good.2. side by side give more slot for different items and easy to find.3. perfectly fit the space in my kitchen (most models are too high).4. CEE Tier IISuggestions:1.LED light is good but need change the locations, the light will be blocked by foods.2.The plastics feel cheap and unsecure, need some better material.3.Need a section for eggs (not on the top of the door which is the worse place for it, you will be surprised how many eggs was falling on the floor, becausethe location is too high for the person try to reach). I put a bucket just for eggs on top of the veg. section to solve the problems. ( try be kids friendly, please !).

Ice maker installation time drain

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The refrigerator does not keep items in the door storage area nearly as cold as in the main area...so no drinks in the door.The ice maker is discontinued and the replacement part's book does not accurately show how to install. Pictures and directions are incorrect for this side by side model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When your refrigerator goes out unexpectedly you do not have a lot of time to reflect, research, or be particular. What you do know is that the brand you have had has lasted longer than you ever imagined it would. Therefore, you look for that same brand - Whirlpool!

Refrigerator Side Not Cooling

I got the Black Ice model, and I love this refrigerator!!! Except for one very important thing: The refrigerator side of the unit has not cooled down below 41.5 degrees. The freezer works fine; it registers 0 (zero) degrees as it should. I have had the unit for 2 weeks as of this review, and a service tech has been out twice. Regarding design, the controls are counter-intuitive: The freezer knob controls the vent that regulates the amount of cold air coming into the frig from the freezer (thus the coldness of the frig side), and the refrigerator knob controls the compressor which cools the freezer. So, to make the refrigerator side colder, you turn the freezer knob to the 'warmest' setting. Furthermore, the user guide does not explain this (how the knobs should be adjusted to achieve a particular result) except to say that each one should be set at the mid-point. Bottom line is this: If the refrigerator side cannot consistently register 36-37 degrees, I will have to return the unit, which I do not want to do. I cannot recommend at this time.

Simple, spacious, and quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love this unit and the fact that it has no ice maker is a bonus for us because It was difficult to find a side by side non water/ice maker unit. It was reasonably priced and is very spacious inside. The unit is also nice and quiet.
