Entry level - takes 9 mins to boil water.

This is an entry level cooktop. The burners cycle on/off frequently. Takes 9 mins to boil water using a flat bottom metal teakettle on the PowerBoil burner. One of the LED's shorted out 10 days after install, causing smoke, a flash and loud pop sound, but was repaired under warranty.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this cooktop to replace my 36 year old GE drop in range (which still worked perfectly).
The size is minimally different, but the general eye would not notice. I installed it myself with no trouble (I'm female), and I did add extra cushioning under the corners as I was told the glass can be fragile in those areas.

Not what we thought

This was a home warranty replacement that was chosen for us. The smooth surface scratched in the first week and well as permante food stains from normal use. We have tried to remove the scratches and baked on food stains, but so far nothing is working.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Wife chose this unit and loves it. Fifth central eye is great idea when using large pots or needing to warm or simmer while using other eyes to cook.
