A Great Replacement

My cooktop cracked after 17 years of use. I needed a replacement and this GE was the only white one available within 100 miles of us. My husband installed it and we have been very pleased with it. I've used all burners and am just getting used to its nuisances. So far-so good.

Works well but hard to keep clean

This cooktop replaces an ancient GE cooktop we inherited when buying our new house. The old cooktop had a blue surface which didn't show stains or spots easily. The new glossy black cooktop shows every water spot or stain. Other than appearance, the cooktop works well two months after installation. We did have a problem with installation, as the new cooktop was about 3/4 inch thicker than the old GE cooktop, necessitating some alterations in the drawers beneath the cooktop. Fortunately, there was just barely enough extra space to move the drawers (without interfering with cabinets below them) and fit in the new cooktop.

REPLACEMENT SMOOTH TOP

No review yet, just installed today, other than the unit was a breeze to install,if replacing an existing smooth top you go from box to opening, no surprises, nothing extra needed

This replaced our Thermador Electric Cooktop. Burners heat up fast & settings are easily controlled. Nice sleek look. Fit in our existing countertop cutout. Easy for installer to hookup!
