I have had GE appliances for 35 years. I cook a LOT. I despise this stove top. Wish I had never wasted my money. A warmer burner is USELESS! I wanted 5 burners for a reason. NOT TO WARM. The burners heat up way too slowly. It is very hard to clean. If I had the money, I would buy something different and get rid of this waste of money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Stovetop

Great Stovetop for the price - I previously had a Thermador which lasted 21 years but did not want to spend that amount to replace. The only thing I would change are the dials; they get dirty while cooking and alternating the temperature and are a little difficult to clean.

Upgrade but expected more

Working off countertops for a couple of decades so this was not a journey down a different path, just a bit pricier.
The five burners are each distinctive enough, offering the opportunity for a variety of cook levels though the layout might be improved by placing the controls nearer the burner it controls rather than in a center cluster.
We have always had knobs on the counter, but the biggest issue I have with this cooktop is that cleaning around the knobs is an adventure. When I'm finished, there's no assurance the range is totally clean.
After a lurch or two at the start, we have learned to enjoy the range.

I think it’s a very good unit. I would recommend it to anyone else. The reason I got this unit is my other one is just like it over 20 years old you can’t beat GE.

Warming zone

Why does it have to be more complicated than it should be? Turn the burners on, turn them off! Warming zone, melt, power boil? Just stop!!! STOP over thinking everything and put out a basic product.
