Found my family with 23 and me!

My daughter bought the test for herself. Then later for me. I had not known my birthmother but knew her name and that she was friends with my parents. I searched for many years of my adult life looking for my family. Through 23 and me we found the surviving family members and met my first cousins.

Wanting to know

This was an intriguing chance to learn about myself compared with what my parents had told me about my ancestry. Things that I suspected where finally brought to light.
It has been an interesting journey down the path to who I truly am. I have learned some things and reconfirmed things that I already had known about myself. I can't wait to tell other family members about it and encourage them to participate in this study also. 23 and me has a really convenient product that is easy to use. Great Product !

Although I hoped for more specific information, I'm very happy that I participated. Most of what I learned was what I expected, but there was one surprise. What fun!

Need printable tutorials

No complaints about the product or the ease of getting in touch with the folks at 23andMe. Would like more basic "how to" information in a printable form since I've never studied genetics.

Great family connections

I did the 23and me a few weeks ago to hopefully find my fathers bio family since he was adopted. He never new his family and since he passed away I have wanted to know if I could find someone. Well I did. I found a 5th cousin who didn't know anyone had immigrated. She is looking for his family in Denmark and I am looking here. I am sure we will find answers now and soon I hope to go to Denmark to meet them.

The results confirmed the word of mouth family history with regard to ansestry. The research questoions used to aid others is very interesting and helpful to participants.
