Disappointing

Disappointing service and customer service :( I got this as a gift for my mother but they will not let her sign up because her email address is from the email.com domain. They even told me I should get her a yahoo or gmail account rather than accept her email address she has had for over a decade.

Deceptive practices

I canceled my subscription last year so it wouldn't be automatically renewed. Then, in the spring, I heard that 23andMe had filed for bankruptcy, and a little while later, I heard that 23andMe was no longer a company. Imagine my surprise when I was charged for yet another year. I've contacted them and explained the situation to them. The fellow said he understood and would credit my account. No credit ever came through. Very disappointed with this entire company.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I got this about 5 weeks and found out I have 2 nationalities I had no idea about. Results were AWESOME.

great intro to my ancestry

gave me finally what area my ancestors were from and were they were not from. the 17,000 to 55,000 info was quite surprising. I wud have likes to have known more of a break down area or countries where my ashkanazi background was from.

My friends got me 23andme for my birthday. I was pleasantly surprised by the detailed genetic analysis. This is the ultimate birthday present!

Couldn't ask for better results

I received my test in the beginning of October and my results came 3 weeks later. Not only was it fun to see what I'm made of, it allowed me to find my mother's birth family. For 60 years she hasn't known much and through this process I was matched to a first cousin!!! Doesn't get any better than that.
