Over all, a great tool for the curious minded.

A 23 & me DNA kit was gifted to me.
Very easy to use and directions were simple to understand. Before I knew it my results were back!
Plus side - found some of my known relativesrealtives, format was easy to navigate.
Downside - unable to share photos with connections. Asking for many many personal traits, without offering a discount for those contributions. Upgrades were fee based, for information, that without your contributation, would not be available. Placement of possible family tree members, were not very accurate, in my case at least. Family tree no so easily navigated for me. Taking into consderation , there may be mitigating factors, this may be just me not the product

I am glad I gave this a try. It is super interesting to find out where you come from, how many relatives you have. I also liked how Ancestry gave physical characteristics I have due to my heritage. It was spot on. I feel like everyone should consider this testing; you'll be surprised to see how close we all actually are.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I would like to terminate my health + service. It was somehow a mistake that the service was purchased. I have not used it and would appreciate a refund.

Customer service was very lack luster and was always fairly automated. They at one point gave me multiple dates of when my sample arrived to the facility despite me having the actual tracking from the postal service. The dna results were a little after promised but not by much. Viewing the timeline wasn’t helpful tho as it didn’t have much rhyme or reason. However my results helped me find my half brother! I will say even tho I bought the health and ansestry kit, they only give you basic information everything else is additional costs premium or gold type of packages that are expensive so that was a honest let down. So a solid 3 stars

Don't spend the extra money on +premium!

I love finding out where I'm from officially, but I'm disappointed in the +premium. I was really looking forward to having a more detailed information on how to lose weight. I paid $69 extra dollars just to be told that I need to add more exercise, fruits and vegetables in my life and my goal weight should be 160. Well, I mean come on now, I already knew that. I thought it would have given me exact macros, calorie intake, meal prep etc. I was disappointed that I spent the extra money for nothing.

Request for More Detailed Paternal Haplogroup Test

Hi,
I took this genetic test primarily to identify my paternal haplogroup. The result shows that my paternal haplogroup is O-F46. Based on information from this website (https://www.23mofang.com/ancestry/ytree/O-F46
), O-F46 originated roughly 10,000 years ago and has many downstream branches.

While this result appears accurate, it is not as specific as I was hoping for. I am interested in a more precise sub-branch, ideally one that formed only a few hundred years ago, as this would help me trace my paternal lineage and ancestral origins more clearly.
Could you please provide a more detailed computational/analytical report, including downstream haplogroup analysis if available? I would like to know whether additional resolution or testing can narrow down my paternal haplogroup further.

I LOVE the formats I can use to look at the results. The reports are easy to understand, I especially like to traits! They're easier to navigate for me than that big DNA company.
