I upgraded and really did not get any additional beneficial information, just more ads to upgrade to next level.

Feels like a bait and switch. I purchased the premium package + health and it seems that all the information that I’m interested in knowing is an add on. I wouldn’t recommend and am disappointed. Giving it a generous 2 because the app is well designed

Deceptive practices

I canceled my subscription last year so it wouldn't be automatically renewed. Then, in the spring, I heard that 23andMe had filed for bankruptcy, and a little while later, I heard that 23andMe was no longer a company. Imagine my surprise when I was charged for yet another year. I've contacted them and explained the situation to them. The fellow said he understood and would credit my account. No credit ever came through. Very disappointed with this entire company.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had this for many years now and its awesome! Very informative and keeps updating with new information every now and then.
