Contributing to Research and learning about family

I bought this about 6 months ago, mainly to contribute to scientific research and to see if I was a carrier for anything. I also happened to find a whole branch of my family i'd never known about and am currently researching more about them. It's been fun and I love it when new tests and traits are added.

Why use 23 and me

It is frustrating to see so many people use this tool and then be listed as "Private". What is the purpose in doing research and not sharing the results. Be annonomise if you like, but share the data.

Unbelievable results

I bought this kit in hopes of learning about my ancestry, as I do not know my biological father. I ended up learning a lot about myself and my health, but more importantly I found my biological father, through the ancestry connection feature which matched me to an Uncle. I would totally recommend this service to anyone.

Everyone Needs to get their DNA tested.

"23 & Me" is a must for anyone who is serious about staying healthy, to be able to make it to your marriage day, to live long enough to have children, to be able to see those children reach adulthood, and to see them have their own children. If you buy this for your children, or anyone that you care about, you could literally save their life, by helping them understand risks that exist in their D.NA. , and they can take lifestyle choices to prevent injury and death, as well as find medications that can help them overcome or lower their chance of death. Additionally, it is very nice to know a bit about your ancestry that you may or may not have known about. If you buy the full product, with the Health, and Ancestry Service, you will not regret. This is something I can truly assure you about.

Adoptee finds answers

Last Christmas, this was a gift from my brother. I was excited to learn about what countries my ancestors were from. You see I was adopted when I was 4 days old, but had always been content with that fact. Never felt the need to search. To make a long story short, I was connected with a cousin. It turned out my birth mom and his grandmother were sisters. Though birth mom has passed away, I have a living half sister who I am in contact with. I am very pleased with the results!
