i tried another dna company and all was quiet forever. 23 and me was pretty quick as the other person registered with 23 and me also.

Disappointing

The results aren't as relevant or interesting as I had envisioned. For example, I don't really care too much about whether I can taste cilantro or not. The ancestry information is less useful than the information I got from Ancestry DNA. I stopped using the app about a month after reviewing the initial results because I didn't find the information compelling. Finally, I'm worried about the security of my genetic data with the business issues 23 and Me is experiencing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

just got request for a rating after having this for a few years. not impressed considering i was asked to provide much info of myself prior. I believed this test would be telling me about myself not me giving you info to confirm. I could get all this info from ancestry. Waste of money. Then i get bombarded with offers to purchase for family members then you sell your company.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've been with 23 & Me for a number of years, I get updated often. I have been informed of a lot of relatives and enjoy seeing where they all come from.

This company saved me and has help me improve my health as I age. I have alpha 1 and didn't know it. I smoked cigarettes for years and started having breathing issues. It got worse as I got older then I decided to purchase a DNA test and where the doctors couldn't find anything why, 23 and me found the cause. I showed my doctor and I shrugged it off as nothing but he said it was the cause and reason of my breathing issues because I smoked. I have quit smoking and take my medications thanks to 23 and me.
