I bought this service several years ago and I would estimate that 75% of the data is wrong. Not a single relative with a recognizable name, but hundreds upon hundreds of persons in countries where, according to our own family histories, we have never had relatives.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had to spend hours filling out info that you then you say you know my history due to stuff you did. You are just giving me the info back I gave you. Not paying for anything more since I did like 80% of the fact gathering.

I got an email to review my new purchase. I did not purchase anything from 23 and Me. I have an old account from and original analysis and signed in to check that it was not tampered with.

I Tested on the old chip and no longer receive any updates. The features that used to be standard now require a membership. My ethnicity information was made public because a genetic match of mine was hacked and we shared information. Completely useless for any type of geneaology research. I tell everyone I know to just use ancestry or even myheritage.

Reports that I had paid for and had looked at in the past have now disappeared. I can no longer exist them without paying more. Now it provides raw data that the average person cannot understand. Definitely do not want this service now that it's been bought by somebody else. Do not recommend anybody else getting it either.

Didn’t really get any information from this test! I hear others get some valuable insights from their test but this was nothing useful or meaningful.
