My daughter bought this for me several years ago and it was very informative. But since the company changed hands, there is a lot more information. Great job!! I’m glad I stuck with it.

I was disappointed with my results. I already knew I was Irish but I understood I would find out information about other close genetic links in the USA.

Complete Absence of Customer Service

My husband and I purchased this for our child. To protect their confidentiality, we slightly altered their birthday. We had problems logging in and now the account is locked. Customer service has been unresponsive. We cannot access the product we purchased.

I think the decision to restrict many of the features for ancestry and genetic matching by linking it to the paid medical feature to be a form of extortion. Medical information should be private and testing of this nature should involve advice from a medical professional - not a testing website looking to monetize highly sensitive information and considering challenges the company has faced with regards to security issues, individuals would be ill-advised to trust 23andMe with any medical genetic testing information.
