My husband and I purchased with a gift card from our wedding. We've been satisfied with the results. I found my biological dad using 23 and me. We also are now knowledgeable so many more personal genetics.

This product is a bust. We have, for years, had trouble logging into the system. We're basically throwing money away.

A life-changing story

Many years ago when I was a medical student, I had the opportunity to donate for IVF procedures. Of course at the time I was only interested in the pay. I have since connected with a child that was conceived and is now 41 years old. My whole family has accepted her as part of the family. We have enjoyed her and her spouse immensely. I thank you so much for the service and would have missed out greatly without it.

I bought this a few years ago, and am very satisfied. It's been fascinating to find out where I'm from; who I'm related to (Ben Franklin for one). Since I was getting the ancestry anyway, I opted in to the health as well. Knowing what health issues I'm genetically predisposed to, and not, is also great knowledge to have ahead of time.
One big reason I went with 23&me is how they handle the sensitive nature of my DNA.

Not worth the price

I honestly thought I was going to be able to see more detailed results for how much I paid. The ancestry part was interesting, but was honestly surface level. I expected more in-depth info about health traits or maybe more specific regional breakdowns. The layout was easy to use, but for the price, I was hoping for deeper insights or updates over time.
