Misleading advertising

Having my sequence has been great because I can input it into other sites with higher functioning tools. I am disappointed in the speed with which we receive new admixture analyses. I am also a bit disappointed there isn't a way to browse the non coding regions for microsatellites. When I signed up, they said all future updates would be free, but then started nickel and diming with added services (one of which lets you search for all ancestors with a particular segment of dna). I have had to use 3rd party sites to do this. I am not going to pay for a subscription service. That's silly. That's also why I don't use ancestry.com.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought three different DNA test and out of the three this one has the best features more updated and was way better than the other two! I got more answers with this testing kit, them others

I have to pay for information about myself. I paid for the kit and have done hours of their voluntary research questionnaires; at this point, giving them any more of my time or money feels like I’m being taken advantage of.

Subpar Customer Service

Bought the kit for my daughter. She intended to expand her health kit to ancestry but never got the email. We bought another kit, and She forgot to put in the information in the app and mailed in without barcode tracking. I messaged and emailed customer service with no resolution that was not “buy another kit.” We are now several hundred dollars down the drain with no ancestry results. Very disappointed. Going to move to Ancestry.

I have mixed emotions... 23&Me was a critical factor in me finding my biological father. However, because there are so few matches -- as compared to another company -- I think it is something to use when 'all else fails.'

Found out my dad is a priest. Absolutely ruined my idea of family and what it all means. My mother lied to us for 40 years.

I could never get in any more there is always trouble for my password. And after for too many attempts to get in.
