Some Tests were Doubtful

It seemed like they used background information I provided instead of my DNA. It said I was 100% European (all Caucasian countries) and we don't know who is the bio father of my mom. She came out looking like a Native American in a family of white people with blue eyes. And I ended up being darker than her. It just doesn't make sense.

What I learned about me.

I grew up along with the rest of my family understanding that my grandfather on my father's side was 100 percent cherokee indent. My result came back with .1 percent american indian. My results showed that I was 67.2 percent european which me he was white and I had a lot of white ancestors. Now all five of my sisters and brother are having their DNA tested.

Very, overly broad

I was disappointed how broad the results were. I gained almost no new or relevant information from the reports

Shocked like the commercial

I thought I was going to find out how Native American I am, instead of found out I'm more Southern European and Balkan. I always thought maybe I was Romanian or Greek but figured there was no way, apparently I'm one of the two.

Lots of Detail

While already received data from another company, 23 and me was much more informative. I liked the amount of data and background information to read. Already recommended the kit to a friend. I liked the chromosome data knowing where the research originated.

Surprising results

This was a really easy process and the results were surprising to myself and my siblings. We always thought we were 50% German and we are not. 23 and me sends emails and has tutorials to help you understand your results. I am very happy that I did this and will recommend to family members. It also tells you how many people you are related to that have done the 23 and me.
