Great information, fun and informative

I purchased the ancestry plus health version. I am really glad I did. I did have a few small surprises in my ancestry. I enjoyed learning about my Neanderthal connections and what we are learning about how it affects humans now. I also liked the health information. I especially like that 23 and me keeps me updated as new technologies or information becomes available to be shared with me. Very interesting!

Quite surprised !

The results I received were quite surprising and once I reviewed them in detail clarity became mine to enjoy. Those gaps were filled, the question marks removed and the reasoning became obvious. That's more than I had bargained for to say the least.

A few fun surprises!

When I bought the 23andMe kit, I thought I knew what to expect: my mother's family were all Swedish immigrants and my father's family was mostly English. I was surprised to see Germans and Finns and even a SIBERIAN show up in the mix! The feature that shows how far back in time some of these ancestors lived was a delight for my imagination.

Amazingly detailed info - genetics and health!

I was so excited to try 23 and Me. I had a testing done many years ago and while the results were interesting, they were just too scientific and didn't give me nearly the detailed explanation of the results as I received with 23 and Me! I really was impressed with the percentages of genetic locations in my sample. WOW!

Solved a century old mystery.

Frankly I was just hopeful to find out about a long-held family myth about my family history. Surprise, I got a century's worth of information that led me back to my and my biological father's deep roots. He had been tormented by the mystery all his life before he died in frustration. I've survived for 70+ years not knowing who my paternal family was. Until 23andme, which in a flash unlocked my family that had eluded me all my life. Yes, it was a major event of my life to finally discover from "Whence I Come!" And what an amazing and loving family that has embraced my own family as its own. Life changing. I love you Littlefields for your gracious welcome back.

Good system needs some adjustments

I like that It is fairly easy to see a lot on the Ancestry. I would make some adjustments for sure to make this easier and more advanced. On the Medical if you are comparing others I would make it way MORE clear you do not have this medical issue it is someone in your family. Very Unclear!

Would Have Liked More Detailed Information

There are some aspects of another genetic results program that are more insightful than 23andMe's. My sister used the former and it was was (obviously) difficult to compare apples-to-apples with the different programs. Theirs was more detailed in their analysis so I was a little disappointed that I did not have as much as information.
