Too much work.....

Too many questions in your survey and you don't get much info back for answering all those questions. I'm done with them. Plus, the matches are sort of buried in your reports. I really did this for genealogy, not medical genetic testing.

Health traits need to be explained in simple terms. Not everyone is a genetic engineer.

Selecting your self-identified ethnicity allows us to provide content specifically tailored to your ethnicity in your genetic reports and compare your results to other users like you. This information is not used to compute your genetic ancestry and you can edit your answers at anytime from your Settings page: https://you.23andme.com/user/

Fascinating, Personalized Information!

I have learned so many interesting facts from my 23andme report! The Ancestry DNA version I took a few years a ago didn't provide a tenth of the information available through 23andme. I feel like this is cutting edge research into the relationship between genes and traits. I'm happy to be part of it.

Underwhelming information, though well-packaged

They do a nice job of the kit and making it easy to send in your saliva sample. Lots of colorful graphs came back, but the information itself was not newsworthy at all. Perhaps it's my personal genealogy but I didn't "discover" myself in any notable way.

Report is not inclusive

Easy to collect sample and read reports, however, reports lack analysis on heart disease, arthrisis, kidney, stroke, high blood pressure, and Alzhemier disease, arthritis, and muscle endurance.

The 23andMe Health + Ancestry Service provides both health and ancestry information in a single service for a single price and is the first and only genetic service available directly to you that includes reports that meet FDA standards. You receive 65+ personalized genetic reports to help you understand what your DNA says about your health, wellness, traits, and ancestry.
We do not currently offer reports on hereditary risks for diseases like cancer, heart disease and other serious health risks.

You now are able to receive 65+ reports on health, traits and ancestry instead of exclusively ancestry reports. In addition, the 23andMe site has been redesigned, offering updated tools and features, better functionality, and new content.

The most amazing report about my life ever. My wife and I enjoy sharing and comparing our results. If everybody would do this in the world, there would be no need for tolerance.. Because we're all the same ... love nothing less..
