I found and met my half sister . We are currently waiting on results for our mom’s test to confirm . I recommended it to my potential half brother on my father’s side as well ! my sister and I purchased our mothers

The results I got are very generic and can easily be based on the preliminary questions I answered.

A little disappointed

I bought this particular test because I was told it would give me information about the MTHFR family of variants. None of that information ended up being included and the raw data is u readable to the lay man. Also, a good amount of the information I desire is only available if you upgrade to a premium subscription. Wish I would have known all of that before I bought this particular test.

Little value in the data and insights

My motivation for doing 23&Me was to support research rather than uncovering more about my heritage or predisposition to certain health concerns. So in that sense, I was satisfied. While mildly entertaining, the data and insights are VERY suspect. Just about any trait with a high rate of prediction was wrong compared to my actual traits. Ancestry info was also slightly different than documented family history. I'd hope others do it to advance clinical research and scientific innovation, but I cannot say I'd recommend it.

They never gave me my sub

They never gave me my subscription, responded to my inquiry about my subscription saying that "it's a separate paid subscription" with a link to checkout and purchase it, and then they had the audacity to send this email asking me to review the wonderful subscription I purchased with my kit that they tell me I don't have. I do not recommend this site or its service. There are too many other services and I think TellMeGen was better all around.
