While it showed my DNA markers. The rest of the stuff they share with you is nearly guess. I didn't think it was worth the 150 dollars.

It leaves me hanging about the 3rd cousin or 4th .who are they related to that relates to me..what's the family name they came from.and I found out things that put my family related to people we new nothing about..

I purchased it, because I thought that it was going to be more specific than Ancestry.com, but it was not, Ancestry.com was much more specific, and I did not like all of the surveys that took forever to fill out and was so stressful, that it made me wish that I had never purchased it.

Its very DIFFICULT to understand about ANY and EVERYTHING, if i would've known other family members had to have 23 and me i would have NOT purchased it.

No support from customer service

We purchased this product because our son is very interested in his genetics for medical reasons. When I set up his account, I made a mistake and we are unable to download his raw data. I have sought support from customer service multiple times and have received NO response. It's ashame to pay for a product and then not receive what you paid for. If I could do it over again, I would use a different service.

I’m Impressed With 23&Me

Having used 2 other company’s DNA tests and their associated services, I think that 23&Me does the best job of all of them. My ancestry profile matches pretty closely to family lore and the surprises in the results at least made sense. The results were turned around fast and I was able to use the service quickly. The health insights are frank and sober, and I can use the information I’ve received to make better, more proactive decisions for health and lifestyle. I really do wish they could provide a breakdown of ethnic inheritance from each parent WITHOUT requiring DNA samples from both mother and father as this is no longer possible in my case. Both of the other services I’ve used were able to do this using my sample alone and did not require my parents to provide samples. Beyond this though, I think 23&Me is the best service I’ve used thus far.
