I used this service to get ancestral information on myself because I am adopted. The only information I had was that my birth mother is Irish and my birth father was dark skinned. The information 23andMe gave me was less helpful than the information I already have.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought it for the health reports which are very interesting. Some I knew or suspected, a couple I didn't. The DNA results are very different from another company's DNA results. The other one lines up better with my known family tree which I can trace to the 1500s.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have used Ancestry for decades. I bought this product for more research but also for health issues. This product doesn’t have a really good search engine. And the health part is not useful for me at all. I’m very disappointed.
