I got a kit for a Christmas present. I had a problem and customer service resolved it. Learning where I come from and all the people I'm related to has been an open eye experience. I like everything about 23 and me.

I’m adopted and I did this to find out where I came from, I found out health issues, where I came from and that I have a half sister!!!

The 23 and Me kit was a gift from my cousin. It was a wonderful surprise
and I appreciate all the information that it has provided with DNA and Health.
The list of DNA relatives, especially has provided diverse information about ethnicity and location. I am beyond grateful to my cousin for this thoughtful birthday gift!

Can't believe the results

How is adopted at 3 weeks old and know nothing about my family finally I decided to do 23andMe based on what my non-biological adopted brother had found.
I'm amazed at how accurate the DNA was on some of the traits that I have and it came up with. But the most exciting thing is I have found that I have seven half brothers and sisters a family I've always desired to have. This weekend I get to meet one of my brothers and one of my sisters for the first time in 57 years.

Ancestry Comparison

Has slightly different DNA results than Ancestry, found out I had some Middle Eastern heritage less than 2% that Ancestry doesn't show. Also is more popular with my UK and Canadian relatives than Ancestry! I like both equally, they have different benefits.

I appreciate the findings in my DNA, and was not surprised. However, I expected to find more from my father. Also I expected more concerning my ancestry, but was disappointed. The product did concur with my medical doctor's evaluation.

Great info but wish it was more interactive

This is a really great product in that I it was easy to use and understandable. It gave me a lot of fun and interesting information and confirmed some interesting family details and dna connections. The family tree feature is also easy to use. I do wish that the product results / site was more interactive. There is nothing to keep people coming back and no 'new relatives' notifications, so although I was excited to make new connections, nobody responded to any of my msgs or invites because they got their info over 6 months ago and haven't been back since. It would be great if there was a way to keep people involved and coming back so that there is more connection opportunities. I am doing ancestry as well for this very reason. That being said, the product is overall a great tool and I would definitely recommend it and I feel I made a good choice.
