Interesting and helpful information

I received this as a Christmas gift and it’s been interesting to learn all the information about my heritage and fun to see all the distant relatives all over the globe. It’s exciting when you receive a message saying a relative wants ti connect.
Luckily there were no surprises in my health information though I must admit I was a little anxious before receiving the results. I can definitely see how it would be useful to have this information. I’ve already recommended my friends and family members participate.

I am afraid I have not found this at all helpful. I have recorded documentation about my Italian heritage, but the DNA analysis does not reflect any Italian.

Way cheaper than insurance for BRCA genes

I bought this mainly to see if I had the genetic BRCA genes since breast cancer runs in the family. Even with insurance, the blood test was a very high price! Plus, there are other genetic variants for cancers in the same kit. And I could look at where my family is from. So, now I'm doing more geneology research. Bought mainly for the medical purpose, though

Information is utterly useless and this was a waste of time and money. In the fine print it says results are 50% accurate … 50/50 is the same as chance. Ugh. In the examples of cancer, they do not test for the most common markers… why? Ancestry data also poor: “users with genetic data like yours report being from these areas.” Report?! Sample they use to estimate is to small and leads to vague, useless information.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
