I think ancestry is important, so when I bought this test I was very pleased with how serious 23 and me utilized and presented the data to it's users. Ive learned a lot about my family and feel like I continue to learn a lot. I feel like the connection with 23 and me doesn't stop just after receiving your results!

I would highly recommend this to anyone that was adopted if they want to find her birth family. I went 37 years missing and finally have found the missing piece!

23andme provides a good service and is user friendly for the beginner looking to find out more about their ancestry. However, I do not like the relatively large amount of unassigned given to those with ancestry from more than one continent. I started out with 2.5 percent unassigned and it went up to 5 percent with the most recent update. This does not seem like an improvement and I have not seen unassigned with other sites I've tried. I'm not convinced my results are that accurate, which is why I've tried other competitors, which confirmed my suspicions. That being said, there are many things good about 23andme and I would recommend them, just not as the only testing company. Try more than one if you can afford it.

My friend Bought me a 23andme kit for Christmas. I never met my biological father. My biological mother only new so much. But she was almost right. I 100% have faith in 23ANDME TO NARROW DOWN EXACTLY WHAT ETHNICS and countrys my ancestors are from. I am ready for this close of to see what ETHNICS I have from my biological father.

I purchased my 23andMe DNA package about a month ago. I was very excited to see everything obtained about me through my DNA. I knew my heritage was mixed with other nationalities however; I was surprised to see the percentage of other races I was mixed with. This has helped me with finding the right products for my hair type.

I took a DNA test through 23&me. I was pleased with the relatives and connections. That part was very accurate and some family questions were answered. However, I was and still am most curious about my ethnicity. 25.5% of my DNA came back unspecified Northwest European. That's over a quarter of my DNA. Now I'm forced to take another DNA test through a different company in hopes of getting a more accurate report concerning my ethnicity.
