Map Feature in DNA Results is Terrific!

I love the new map feature that allows you to locate where in the world your matches live. I regret those who share their location and data are a relatively small percentage of participants in the DNA program. That's like watching ice cream melt in the sun without ever tasting it...

This has been really fun, and interesting. So much for family stories about us all being German or Scandinavian! I'm mostly Eastern European, Balkan, and a little Italian! No wonder I've always loved Mediterranean food so much. And, being adopted, it's so wonderful to find cousins I'm really related to, and look like, as well. Thank you!

I've been trying to find my Hungarian roots. Most people I message don't respond. Not sure if they don't because they don't read English, or because they don't want too. I'm also finding out that the one's who do respond were adopted from an orphanage. I never knew I had any Balkan roots, I just want to know how I came to be something other than German and Hungarian.

Received 23andMe for Christmas a year ago. Suprised and Thankful to finally know my ancestry. I was adopted in the 70's and this information gives me peace of mind, and has answered a lot of questions. Still searching for family! I would definetly recommend this to everyone I know. Lots of helpful information.

My Daughter bought this 1 year ago. I love it dearly. I know where I come from . A lot of answers I always wanted to know I Recieved through 23andme. I have Cousin from all around the world that I didn't even that exist.I could be walking right pass my cousin. I wouldn't even know.I'm so glad that I'm alive to witnessed this Historic moment in time. A lot of My Cousins from 23and me Are my Facebook friends. None have not deleted me at all. Cause I make everyone laugh.I could have been a professional comedian. It is really important to know your Roots.

Second opinions matter

I tried 23andMe after using another DNA service four years ago. I'm glad I did because I found other close family members who had not used the other service. Second opinions don't just matter in the medical field. Excited!!!

Family is Everything!

In a time when families get further apart, it is wonderful to locate and reconnect with family. I have found 2 close family members who were put up for adoption over 30 years ago. Connecting just those two with their closest biological family members has been very exciting. One aunt was reduced to tears to find one of her brothers, who died almost 40 years ago, had fathered a child and put her up for adoption. Now they can spend years getting to know each other.
