I am so glad I turned to 23 and me. I am sixty six years old and had no clue about my paternal side. My life's story has been complicated. Reguardless I am glad I have been lead to my other side. Everybody needs to know their heritage.

Scientific approach

23 has been a good value to us, as we bought two and were able to compare our chromosomes, our mtDNA, and Neanderthal variants, as well as connecting with relatives and seeing ethnic percentages. We are always figuring out how to use features better. 23 keeps you apprised of new matches, and has links to scientific underpinnings of their analysis.

Answers to haunting questions

I'm adopted. I wanted to find at least ethnic history. I never imagined I'd find much more than that. I have a first cousin, answers to questions that's haunted me for years. I was able to grieve, I have peace. I can't say everyone's experience will be like mine, but for me this was priceless.

i found someone called a 1st cousin among the relatives. it turns out she was the daughter of my 1/2 brother. they were both very happy to find eachother and are in close contact. my 1/2 brother was listed as a grandson. JMc

Finding my relatives after being adopted

I found out many relatives of mine that I didn't know and one of them helped me find my birth mother. Even though she refused to talk to me, I know who she is.
