The birthday present that keeps on giving

My boyfriend bought me the 23andMe DNA kit for my 31st birthday. Since i've gotten my results i have discovered relatives on all sides of my family. I have information about my family we never knew before and also information that confirms the things we did. Everyday i am diving into genealogy all because of 23andMe. I am connecting with family i didn't know i had and that's a priceless gift. This has opened a whole new world for me in so many ways. Not only do i have new family that i am discovering daily, but i also have a new hobby.

I bought DNA test to help me find more ancestores, but this program seems more interested in giving me TRAITS about them than names dates and places. I am not interested in that.

My son gave me the kit for Mother's Day, and now 6 months later, I have located my birth mother who gave me up for adoption SIXTY years ago. I'm stunned and amazed. Still trying to wrap my head around it!

So I wasn’t trusting this at first so I made all my sibling do a dna and they did it and it found us and put us as sibling I mailed it from different states and still it found us DNA AWESOME I love that every now in then I log in and see my blood line growing with so much family life’s great and awesome
