Slightly disappointed. I can't condemn 23&M

Since I was adopted and have no clue who any of my "genetic relatives are, I am slightly disappointed that my closest relative is a less than 3% match and that there are significant differences between this test and a genetic test from a competitor. I can not blame the test for not providing closer relatives and I'm not sure which test is more accurate. I also like the health information since I have no family history.
As a result, I give this a strong 4 and would recommend the product to friends.

Wonderful Self Discovery Experience!

I am adopted and did not even know my own birthday until I was adopted, I was told that I was 9.5 years old. My brother and I thought we were half siblings and our heritage was also unknown. 23&Me brought us our story, my own children' story...and surprised us with a wonderful heritage that was predicted by a Native American Chief...I thought he was crazy. Turns out he was right. I smiled, I cried, I still am in my journey of self discovery!

But it has been interestersting to find that all those stories I've heard are true. Where do you come from? Why are you here and not there? Interesting, as we are all on a search for freedom, to worship, to pray, to eat, to live together as a people and a world

I bought this because I didn’t know much of my background and boy was I exited when I got my results! 23 and Me is very informative, clean & visual that I had a smooth and easy view of my results with no confusion.

I found my Mom!!!

I love it! I wasn't really looking, didn't want to be disappointed, but I found my mom. she gave me up or adoption 53 years ago, had a successful acting career but never forgot me. I'm beyond pleased with 23andme:).

I find it a little "off putting" about 23 and Me always trying to up sell. The next question is "Would you recommend this product"? Frankly my real answer would be MAYBE. I have taken other DNA tests with better results.

Great Features and Information!

23 and Me was a gift from my daughter as a Christmas gift. I really hesitated doing this as I was really worried on the results. I am now forever so HAPPY I did! I have learned so much about the biological father I never knew and have made contact with new family through all this. I have also learned about my heritage and this is really a gift that is worth receiving!
