Through 23 and Me, I found a first cousin from my adopted dads biological family. After researching, I was able to tell my dad all about his birth family and why he was adopted. Oh, and I’m a dead ringer for my grandmother!

Got this on the off chance I could track down my biological relatives and low and behold it worked. A Nephew I didn't know I had got his results about a month ago and we found out we had enough DNA markers in common to message each other. Now, after 75 years, I've got a whole other family I didn't know about.

I believe it's very fascinating about the genes. I only wish I knew who my father was . My mother was my bio aunt I know nothing of my father.

It was easy to arrange sampling of my saliva. The results were interesting. knowledgeable and gave me additional stimulation to know more about genetics and its connection with human health.

This was not my first DNA test, but it was my BEST! I have recommended this test to others who are thinking about testing, and will continue to do so. I found the results the easier to understand.

Fantastic! Found answers to many questions

I received the DNA kit for Mother’s Day. At first I didn’t want to do the test as I know where and when my relatives entered the USA. But to appease my children I sent in the sample. To my surprise I found a first cousin that was adopted at birth. I also found out what happened to my great grandmother after she divorced my great grandfather. I now have an extended family that are kind warm people. I feel as if I’ve known them my whole life.

I’ve learned a lot

My report shows me as having a variant for celiac disease which makes me gluten sensitive. I have had decades of unexplained bouts of diarrhea and abdominal pain, but now that I know I have that variant, I avoid eating gluten as much as I used to and only have a reaction when I overindulge. So glad I got the health testing and recommend it highly. You will learn a lot about yourself.

I took my 23andMe test just to see what my ethnicity was, but little did I know what I was about to find was something completely different than I expected. Not only did my ethnicity surprise me, I also had some matching family I didn't know about. After some research, I found out I had a different father. It's been an amazing find. I'm thankful I took my DNA test and found a whole family I knew nothing about.
