The 'unknown' is possible now.

Having a 'family tree' that was never spoken about, as elders die, is a very disheartening experience to live through. The solution has arrived with '23 & me': "me" is the only part that matters. Giving this information to my future generations, is more than I ever experienced in my childhood: the 'unknown' is declared, 'I had people' - that's validating.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Really cool experience

Even though I knew my background wasn't going to be very exciting and I already knew where I came from, it was still a really fun experience to do with my family. It was bonding and made me feel closer to my ancestors. I definitely reccommend it.

I like the research questions

I like how much research 23 and Me is doing for the genome, but I have no idea how to evaluate the ethnicity estimate, since it's different at every site. Genealogically, it's useless, since there's not much information about matches.

The kit comes complete with instructions and is SO easy to use. Right away family contacts were made, finding relatives missing for decades. The relative predictions were absolutely correct. Now old family legends can be confirmed or laid to rest.

Thanks to 23andme, I was able to get clarification on my origins. So many myths in my family. Not only that but also the reassurance of my biological father. It has been a wonderful experience, and I refer this resource to everyone who "Needs to know". My adult daughter said it is the best birthday gift she has ever received. Thank you so much

Test was not done right, I got it back 2-weeks

Not worth buying, i’am very dissatisfied you did the test in one week and I got it the following week not enough time to do a thorough health or ansestry check.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
