For me the accuracy was not good. In the physical character area it was very wrong.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for the feedback. Providing each and every one of our customers with accurate data is 23andMe's number one priority. We have several quality control steps during the processing and loading of your data and we are confident in the data that we returned to you.
In terms of the physical character "area", if you are referring to the Trait reports, keep in mind that those reports provide your likelihood of having certain characteristics. You can learn how your DNA affects your hair color, taste preferences and more.
While many traits are highly influenced by genetics, there are other non-genetic factors that affect the expression of certain traits.
To learn more about a trait, navigate to the result of interest and scroll to the About section. This section will tell you the description, biology, and non-genetic factors that are associated with the feature.

Great Features

I've been wanting to do this for so long but I couldn't afford the cost. So when I finally got the money I purchased a kit right away.
I enjoyed the experience of finding out my ancestors background and looking forward to seeing more of my culture by the way of researching my background.
Lastly I wish they would further breakdown what countries in Africa I could be apart of.
Also they should bring back the in-depth genetic testing that they use to have. I feel like the extra $100 was a waste of money (for me).

Was amazed to find out we have Italian blood. We always thought we had German or Irish .Also the fact that I have Askenazi Jew in me and Subsaharan Arfican.

I was surprised by the results. Then I found out that some Netherlands people came from France due to the fact that they didn't want to fight for Napoleon Bonaparte.Everything made sense then.

Great Instructions - timely response

I bought the 23&me DNA kit a little over a month ago. I had an immediate response, kit to provide "sample" contained easy to follow instructions, feedback on receipt, etc. via e-mail was immediate .. reports were received in 3 weeks from time of receipt .. all computer correspondence and reports were user friendly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am participating in a Reno study. I have always been curious about where I am from. Thought I was German and surprised to find out that I'm from a mix of many European areas!
