The website is very confusing to use

Trying to use the website is a disaster and it keeps flipping you to buying additional products and surveys instead of easily finding what you click a link to find.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Intriguing Journey Through One's Existence

I have had my 23andMe results for about a month; I have never enjoyed anything so much in my life. I have learned so much, connected with DNA matches, discovered so many things about my ancestors, broadened my horizons beyond anything I thought could happen. I recommend this to anyone who wants to learn and have great fun doing it!

I knew my ancestry just wanted to see how close the results would be. My heritage is from England and Greece. Results show I’m Italian. Sure.

Thank you for your feedback. Our Ancestry Composition report assigns results based on your genetic similarity to our 31 populations worldwide. These populations refer to genetically similar groups, rather than nationalities. If you do not see ancestry that you expected, this is because you more closely resembled our other reference populations genetically. Keep in mind that you randomly inherit 50% of your DNA from each of your parents. For this reason, your ancestry assignments may vary depending on which DNA segments you inherited from each parent.

Very Accurate!

I bought this back at Christmas. One for me and one for my dad. The Process was so easy and we got our results back with in 6 weeks! I knew a lot of my ancestry before doing this, so this was a validation for me. This is super accurate if you are looking to find out your ancestry. I love the fact that I could link my results to my fathers as well as my brother once he bought a kit. The results are easy to read and the bonus reports are a plus. I've recommended this to my whole family!

23andme has answered so many questions that I had about my heritage after I found out that I had a different biological father than the family I grew up in. It made a tough situation a lot easier and was able to give me a bit of closure by allowing me to find out what I’m made up of.
