Amazing Journey

My husband purchase 23andme for a gift. I was excited to find out where my great grandparents were born and their family history. I had no clue that I would connect with a niece of my half sister. I was born out of wedlock and did not know the names or where my 4 sisters or 3 brothers were living. I also found out I have a 4th brother that was conceived by another woman and was adopted. I am 65 years old and never thought this would be revealed but what an amazing journey this is turning out to be. I have spoken to two of my sisters and plan to visit all of my half siblings. This would never be possible without the DNA through 23andme.

23 and me is a great service. it offers great DNA connections as well. The only thing i would say is that, it could come with a real family tree, where as, the members can complete to the best of their own ability adding their own kids, grandparents, great grandparents and so forth. If so, as the DNA relatives are matched, perhaps a few spots in the tree will be filled and confirmations are made by the DNA relatives. This way, we as customers can get a more accurate record of relatives and "keep the DNA tree growing" with 23&me!

My son bought this for me for Christmas. I have been working on ancestry to build my tree. I am trying to link DNA people who may be my relatives with people in my tree. It is fun. I never have enough time to work on this.

I’m very thankful to 23andMe as I have found a half sister and many cousins. I was an adopted baby and the adoption was sealed. I didn’t have any knowledge of my blood family but I’m learning. The findings are still ongoing. Thank you 23andMe, you have helped fill a void in my heart! ❤️

This has been a great chapter in my life because I have always wanted to know about my ancestors and just didn't do anything about it until I started seeing advertisements about this product. 23 and me has been very helpful in finding out about my DNA it is so amazing what they were able to bring to me all this great information I'm starting a family tree album with all this information that I have received, without this help I would still have been in the dark about who my ancestors were. INFORMATION OVERLOAD

I've been pleasantly surprised by the number of possible relatives that have been turned up with my DNA analysis. I just wish the company site made it easier to send messages and that it would be more specific as to which side of another persons DNA profile was a possible and pinpoint an exact category of relation (cousin at a specific level and include names if possible, sibling, parent.
