1, Need more African DNA data input. Also would like to run more than 5 comparative analysis at a time. 2. Would like to have added matches whenever new members tests are completed.

Thank you for your feedback. The population labels in Ancestry Composition refer to genetically similar groups, rather than nationalities. In general, we sought to make the populations as small as possible, subject to the constraint of being able to distinguish between them. Populations may be inherently difficult to distinguish because of historical mixing, or we might not have had enough data to tell them apart.

Pertinent Questions

Although I am satisfied with the results of the DNA findings, I feel the questions asked leave out a very important point. Many of us are former military members, or civil service personnel (law enforcement, health care, etc.) which does affect our answers to many of the questions. IE: I have spoken to long term sheriff deputies who think they need PTSD counseling given the variety of calls they make. I, for one, can say that my time in the military, plus time spent as a deputy had a dramatic effect on my psyche.

I would like to know why Scandinavian was removed from my ancestry... and how I am not Scandinavian (apparently) if both of my parents are more than 1% scandinavian

Unexpected findings

Ive been tracking and researching my family heritage through my dads side for about 30 plus years now and figured I would take an ancestry test for fun, and to confirm all my findings throughout the years. Well, come to find out, my dad is not related to me. Moreover, everything I thought I knew about my heritage is null and void. And anybody that would possibly know who my bio dad is, is dead. So, on one hand, I guess its better to know the truth, but on the other hand, its fairly alarming to suddenly not know where you come from and prolly not ever going to know.

Constant Changes Made To The Site Withount Notcie!

Difficult in finding how to update my profile. One week I can see ethnicity markings on chromosome with shared matches then next time its not there!
