23 and Me does what they say they'll do,providing you fascinating and fun data about your genetic propensities and ancestry, plus connecting you to distant relatives, making you realize ultimately how we are all connected. I love it!

It feels good to know my information is not only useful to me but to the scientific community at large. More than just a tool, 23andMe gives others insights into heritable disease patterns.

Lost family members found

23 and me has allowed me to connect with close relatives that have lead to the discovery of my father’s paternal side. Also, allowing me to discover my paternal grandmother’s paternal side. My father only knew one of his four grandparents. Now he knows all four of his grandparents and our family tree is much larger than before. We’re now able to understand connections with other people on 23 and me, and have answers about our family history that we never had before.

Really good educational tool

My son & I both had our DNA checked, it came back very close to what my great great Aunt had found out. My husband who adopted my son had his DNA checked & was a bit questionable since his mother is 100% mid eastern, yet he showed 30% Italian! Once he was connected to his Mom's DNA 23 & me sent a revised report since could narrow down more w her info. So I'm very happy with the service! Now time for our daughter's test!

I found the review interesting but also upsetting since it only indicated my Irish decent 73% (dad's side) and didn't really mention my French decent which is my Mom's half of the equation..
I would recommend this to a friend!
