Ancestry separates between maternal and paternal sides. 23 and me does not. I would recommend Ancestry for a better brake down. I did find relatives like an aunt that I didn’t know of. But I had to go to ancestry.com to find out whether it was on my paternal or maternal side.

Absolute waste of money

They are very deceptive. You purchase and all they tell you is what countries you are probably from. No info on relatives, etc. They send you additional requests for money for more info at least twice a day. It is a total fraud and I would be a fool to front additional funds to get nothing additional.

Terrible do not waste your money

I got this for Christmas in hopes that it would help me find my real dad and it won’t even show you any one related to you that’s a first cousin or closer you have to pay and extra $125 for that the only thing it was good for is telling me where I’m from and I didn’t need to spend $50 to be told I’m super European this is a waste of time money and effort I will never recommend this service I am actually telling everyone how terrible it is.

Never Again

I sent my kit out sometime in late April. My husband and son did the same, except through Ancestry DNA. My husband and son receive their results, fairly quickly... In May. Unfortunately, I did not receive my results until the middle of August. They began processing all of my information and then somehow got stuck on a certain step for more than 2 months. I reached out multiple times and nobody really had any answers. After finally receiving my results, I was pretty disappointed to find that it didn't have any of the basic features that my son and husband received through Ancestry DNA. All of those features are available with 23 and me... But only for premium customers, for what I find to be an exorbitant fee. I am extremely dissatisfied and would absolutely never use them again or recommend them to anyone in my family.

I have attempted to cancel my relationship with 23 and Me. I followed all of the instructions you gave me but you are continuing to contact me. You obviously have not destroyed my information, which I requested you do.

way over priced for the info recieved.

All the results are so generalize that they make no sense at all. I took my results to my doctor and he said there is no viable information anywhere in the reports
