LOVE IT!

I bought this a few years ago to gain insight into my medical history and this has been fantastic! So I had my husband do one too. Even if you think you know your family history, this is so much more accurate! I have fun answering the research questions to help others/researchers. A bonus is it matches me up with family members too!

My kit was a gift from my father-in-law and I hesitated in completing it and returning it. But then I became intrigued with the whole thing. I am considering purchasing two kits, one for my 90 yr old father and for younger brother.

My Findings

I bought 23 and me for my brother at first so we could have our Y-chromosome and to find out relatives on my fathers side. I have found out that my father and mother are from the same part of Europe; which is mostly France, Germany and The British Isles. They both share the same cousins from different generations. My Dads ancestors came to America as indentured servants from Scotland while most of my moms ancestors came with land grants; some even came on the Mayflower!
