Good Chromosome matches; Very Poor "search" tool!

23andMe gives good results of "relatives" with DNA matches, and a fair display of segments on which chromosomes match. For this reason, I reluctantly recommend 23andMe. However, 23andMe completely lacks a useful "search" tool! (Or, if there is one, I cannot find it!) 23andMe needs to create a GOOD "search" tool, and display it PROMINENTLY on the Home Page.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It was great to known my ancestry, where I came from, but a little disappointed in the relatives that our not sharing especially my first cousin's,but I'm fairly new only a couple of months.

I bought my kit as part of the Black Friday rush and, after mailing it back, I received my results quite rapidly 24 days later!!! My results pleasantly lined up with what I knew already about my family history, as well as having some nice surprises to further research. My favorite features are the timeline of Most Recent Ancestor of a specific ethnicity and the chromosome comparison in DNA Relatives

I tell the truth that's who I am, the research was interesting, the genealogy part not easy to review it leaves to many unanswered feeling's, perhaps I expected more immediate research. Sales becomes a factor.

Life changing

I bought this wanting to know more about where I come from, knowing only a little bit. When I dot my results, there was a span of around 24 hours when I had a full on identity crisis, but I was able to learn more about myself in another, "non-traditional' way so to speak, now that all of my immigrant relatives have passed away.

Know who you are using only 0.02% of your DNA

I believe people wait too long to try and learn about who they are. In some cases relatives that could answer these important questions about themselves have passed and in other cases the information they have been given may be inaccurate.
Companies like 23andme solve this problem by providing highly accurate ancestry results for a competitive price. To say that I am satisfied with my results would be an understatement. For a reasonable price you can now learn about who you are but in a much for scientifically accurate way and by only using 0.02% of your DNA.
Privacy concerns are always valid but fairly ironic coming from many people who plaster every moment of their private lives on social media platforms. Here you are only sharing your genetic information with actual biological family members. Are you really that concerned about your family knowing who your are?
Know who you are and give 23andme a try. You will not be disappointed.

This site keeps getting better

I used ancestry as well, but with 23 and me I got more information on my genetic history, and they keep updating their site- I check it often, and theres always more to find out! That was the unexpected bonus. I got 3 family members to get a kit too. You don't just buy a package, and thats it. A year later, and I'm still fascinated. money very well spent.
