my test said I was some British and Irish but I have a lot of data on both sides of my parents and I have no British or Irish. Hummmmm

I found my family!

23andme has changed my life. I got my DNA done for fun but was surprised to learn I have a different father than the siblings I grew up with. I now have a very close, loving relationship with my brother and cousins on the other "new" side of the family and am so happy to have them in my life. In addition, the health results have been very important to know. I'm SO glad you offer that option! All thanks to 23andme!

My experience with 23 and me has been positive. If you are interested in your health you might find this as the right product for you. It is not the best for tracing family migrations although the haplogroup research documents have been very enriching and helpful.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not understanding the whole process

So much info was sent to me it really got confusing. Too many tech terms and words. It needs to be a little more simplified for the first time users. I'm sure after I read through ALL of it, I will eventually get the hang of how to wade through it all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
