The experience has been educational and personally revealing. Especially helpful when you do the whole genetic/disease testing. I highly recommend it!

some very nice features but need to beef up

Nice features but need to flesh it out to handle the 100 plus dna relatives list without breaking it into sets of five. Need to have a pedigree chart available for review. Purchased before the FDA / on old chip but unable to get what the upgrade price is.

I got only 34% of my genealogy which is not what I bargained for. I already knew I was Irish and English. I spent $88 for information I already knew. I believe if you can't provide me with my genealogy - all of it - I should get my money back.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your feedback. To view a full list of the reference populations, please click the blue "See all 31 tested populations" link under your Ancestry Composition results.
The population labels in Ancestry Composition refer to genetically similar groups, rather than nationalities. In general, we sought to make the populations as small as possible, subject to the constraint of being able to distinguish between them. Populations may be inherently difficult to distinguish because of historical mixing, or we might not have had enough data to tell them apart.

Current generation can lead to past

There is not much point to doing this if you don't want to share or find more about where you came from...so where you see to enter places your ancestors lived..fill it out and fill out your family surname. I never really wanted to know the present day generation but finding present day can lead to finding data on past generations and close up some gaps or questions but only if you're willing to share.

A Whole New World

I only thought I knew where my family came from! I had no idea! You see those commercials for DNA ancestry and you think, "I know mine. I don't need a DNA test to tell me." You know what you have been told. You have no idea what actual nationalities and their percentages you are actually made up of or how close in your family trees those other nationalities are! I went from thinking I was white to finding out I was not at all "white". Then my maternal line dates back to King Richard III of England and an ancient Irish King on my paternal side. This also connected me to cousins from all over that I never knew existed. My research on all branches of my family tree has been aided by the results of my 23andme DNA! Worth every penny I paid.
