you say I am not likely to have red hair. This puzzles me as I was born with red hair and until I started turning white at about age 65, I had red / strawberry blond hair. Never dyed or colored it. My father had red hair. Can anyone explain this.

I have found it be interesting, fun and informative. I feel that it is good to be a part of this science project. It is an information gathering hub for comparative analysis among us. I do however fully intend to join one of the other DNA analysis companies to at least have 1 other comparative database.

Found My biological father and 2 sisters!

I ordered my kit just for fun actually, to see what my heritage was, instead I got something even more out of it. I found that I had a half sister, which led to finding out who my biological father was. So I have 2 half sisters that I have known all my life and never knew we were related. I knew my father all my life and never knew he was my father. My life has been forever changed thanks to 23andme!

The experience has been educational and personally revealing. Especially helpful when you do the whole genetic/disease testing. I highly recommend it!

some very nice features but need to beef up

Nice features but need to flesh it out to handle the 100 plus dna relatives list without breaking it into sets of five. Need to have a pedigree chart available for review. Purchased before the FDA / on old chip but unable to get what the upgrade price is.

Your company should do a DNA test for just the Health Part of It.

I got only 34% of my genealogy which is not what I bargained for. I already knew I was Irish and English. I spent $88 for information I already knew. I believe if you can't provide me with my genealogy - all of it - I should get my money back.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your feedback. To view a full list of the reference populations, please click the blue "See all 31 tested populations" link under your Ancestry Composition results.
The population labels in Ancestry Composition refer to genetically similar groups, rather than nationalities. In general, we sought to make the populations as small as possible, subject to the constraint of being able to distinguish between them. Populations may be inherently difficult to distinguish because of historical mixing, or we might not have had enough data to tell them apart.
You can read about the population selection process in more detail in our Ancestry Composition Guide: https://www.23andme.com/ancestry-composition-guide/
