23andMe is doing such an wonderful job in impacting the lives of customers. This is definitely my favorite medical-based company! I really enjoyed learning more about my ancestry and what makes me unique. I love answering the survey questions that 23andMe provides to their customers. I really feel like answering these questions is making an impact with the people around me and rest of the world. I love it when 23andMe gets to provide you more genetic-related health reports.

I've found a cousin I didn't even know existed. A 2nd cousin who knew my grandfather's last name. This is just fantastic. And I've confirmed some DNA suspicions I had.

The unknown holds us back, knowing frees the soul

I grew up in a broken family setting riddled with secrets and lies; had a mother who was text book narcissist. I started my journey to discover why I was drawn to certain cultures and people while feeling more comfortable around other ethnicities than my own or that which society classified me. My mother always said that my grandfather was not her father. Recently she shared that a few years ago when she applied for her passport, she noticed the mothers name on her birth certificate was "not" the woman I have known my entire life to be my maternal grandmother; she refused to tell me the name on her birth certificate. Make no mistake I was elated at the possibility that I may not be tied to her side of the family at all because there was never a real bond among many anyway. My aunts used to say that there was native in the family and from appearance, alone many of the elders looked like Indians in my opinion. So I decided to find out who I am and where the voices that were calling out to me originated. MY DNA report was like a Christmas tree; I had my answers finally and met some new family to thanks to 23andme. Now I want to visit most of the places my ancestors came from which is my new bucket list.

i find the reports interesting and really accurate as far as my hertiage goes and it is interesting to me and i like reading and it and it gives me insight to my family hertiage and i went back to prehistoric people

Expected more

Wasn't very impressed. Most of what it said I already knew. It's a bit way too vague, was really looking for more details (and I'm not talking science! )

I am glad that my very Italian father is not alive

We had lived a very Italian family life only to find that we are less than 40% Italian. My mind is trying to work around the issue. I am the first to marry a quote non Italian who tuned out to be 99% Middle Eastern. I am glad we had three sons. That was very Italian. It all worked out and I would do it again.
