is joy and confusion

After not having any, I have found several hundred dna relatives. but , when their information is hidden and they don't share, I am left with as much frustration as before. There are three genetic health conditions that 23andme found, that I had diagnosed and now am trying to find relatives with the same problems.

My DNA results good

I have been pleased with my DNA results from 23andme, especially the more complete MTDNA Haplogroup. My results have mirrored the paper trail I have done at least back to about 1625 CE.

The DNA possible problem analysis has given me assurance that I have do not have a significant chance of Major DNA related health problems.
The ancestory portion says that I have over 1000 possible fourth or greater distant cousins in the 23and me database, and two second or 3rd cousins, of that two, one we will most likely be able to find the link through my fathers family, the other may be possible through my mothers family (that I can determine buy other info provided) but he is listed as anonymous and has not responded to my request for info.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Smart investment

I chose 23 and me because my husband does not know anything about his father, I thought this would not only give us a tool to find relatives but also and most importantly to make sure that if there were any hereditary problems in his family that we would not be completely caught off guard. This has been so amazing that I plan on buying one for my son soon for very similar reasons.
