I am blown away by the simplicity of this process, and the nature, breadth and detail of the information provided based only on a thimbleful of my saliva. As well, the format, manner and clarity of the information provided. This is hands down the most fascinating demonstration of the usefulness of genetic technology

I bought this kit with the thought that I would find out where it all began for me. So when I took the test, I was already checking to see if the results came in a week after it was mailed off. LOL. I knew that wasn't possible though. But when I did, I was so excited. Although right now (my dad has to take the test) I'm 85% African, but I do have a mixture of a lot of other backgrounds. Some very surprising. Either way, it makes me want to know more.

I'm happy I did the kit but I do wish that it was easier to share my results with people. I didn't want to give others my password and screenshots aren't entirely the same as looking and exploring the website. Maybe create a link that shares the information of your results but denies survey responses.

I am so pleased I participated in the analysis. I found it quite enlightening. Also, very pleased with the results: no hereditary diseases in my DNA! The ancestry portion was very interesting - especially as I compared my results to my baby sister's results from a different organization. Mine of course provided a lot more information. She now wants to take the 23 & Me test.
