Everything went very smoothly and the results were quick in coming. The report was clear enough but an expanded lead-in to explain the early, early migration from the steppes would be helpful and add depth. The "sharing" needs to be fully explained - I received two requests that I have not replied to because I was not exactly sure what I would be sharing. Also, the requesters were so distantly related that I couldn't see what value my info would provide.

I purchased the 23& me kit a little over a month ago and expected the results to take much longer to be sent to me but the turn around was pretty quick, maybe 3 weeks. I really enjoyed reading the report and was able to match back family stories of ancestry. I especially enjoyed learning about the Neanderthal gene. Over all a great experience.

Ancestry listing of cousins

While still reading about my ancestry I found 1853 cousins but didn't list cousins I know are my cousins. I still want to investigate 23&me more before I make a complete evaluation. Fun investigating facts about myself which are VERY true. To be continued!

Amazing science that keeps going beyond step one

I bought the 23andMe kit after researching the many DNA tests on the market. 23andMe not only has FDA approved genetic health info but they also have an active community of researchers who keep sending me new and interesting scientific studies regarding various genetic connections between certain factors. For a nerd like me it's always a good read! Plus participating in research makes me feel like I'm actually moving science forward. It's awesome!! 11/10 stars. I'm buying kits for the fam as we speak.
