23andMe service just keeps on giving!

I enjoyed learning about my DNA and how it affects my health and actions. I do like the feed-back as I learn how DNA works. This was especially interesting as my two daughters and their mother also took the DNA health portion. There were traits and diseases inherited, such as Renaud's. I am pleased and look forward to new knowledge from my time answering your questions. My daughter and I share in our genealogy searches and databases and we have found many unknown second, third, fourth, and distant cousins. We have learned much about DNA and relationships.
Just so you know, I answered the sleep questions truthfully but I do have sleep apnea and have utilized a C-pap machine for over 10 years. Knowledge of this may affect that survey. The question of C-pap machine was not asked.

Very interesting

By answering so many questions I also learned a lot about myself. I had polio as a teenager and now have post-polio syndrome. It was difficult to answer some questions since mobility is an issue and polio was never mentioned.

Great product with some room for improvement

Overall great product. I honestly don't regret choosing 23andme, and I have recommended it to my whole family. The interface is visually appealing and intuitive. The health information is insightful and unique to this product. I even enjoy the research question aspect of service.
The only thing I wish it did better was the family connection. When I find extended family members I want to be able to easily keep track of them, or even put them into a family tree. As far as I can tell, I can only do that with my parents, grandparent, and children. I anticipate that 23andme will eventually expand the family finding aspect of their service, and I hope it's soon. But otherwise, I love the product.

Great for adopted kids!

I was adopted at birth in a closed adoption and my 23andme kit allowed me to meet my half sister. The insights into the ancestry is also really great if you do not know anything about your genes... It is a little vague, like you get results of 'British and Irish' and 'French and German', which, if you are trying to figure out PRECISELY where you are from you would need to do more digging. All in all the results were really insightful and the website is easy to use.

I am participating in a study that 23 and Me is running with depressed people, and as someone who is adopted and has limited information about my biological roots, i jumped at the chance to explore my ancestry while contributing to science. Additionally, I have developed a stronger interest in genetics! 23 and Me offers very professional, clean, and interesting services, and I am quite satisfied.

I got my kit for Christmas and I absolutely love it! I love seeing the breakdown map of my genetic history! I also love participating in those surveys and getting the little insights!

I was quite surprised by the dedication 23nme has to those of us who have been tested. I enrolled with 23nme almost two years ago, and am still receiving research questions and updates to my health wellness tendencies. Very thorough company, very happy I decided to go with this firm rather the others out there.
