Disappointed (Lacks cultural diversity)

I am thoroughly disappointed and upset with this service. Most of the reports for health are useless and I am very disappointed about the lack of cultural proficiency. Most of what you have is geared towards people of European descent and the change you need to make is to tell customers that what you have to offer is euro-centric in nature. I am African American and I found the ancestry profile very vague. I was just given regional information only and nothing about what specific African country of origin that my ancestors came from.
I'm going to use Africanancestry.com Perhaps you might consider linking up with them. I'm also disappointed that there was no DNA analysis relevant to diseases that affect African Americans such as High Blood Pressure, heart disease and Lupus. There was one for sickle cell but that is good. I honestly can say that I won't be referring any of my friends or family to 23 and me until you become more multiculturally responsive and open to diversity.

Do we all come out of Africa?

I was expecting some percentage of African to be within my chromosomes and No there was not even a .0000%. The interesting factoid to find French so strongly represented as well as Jewish has me re-thinking my relatives.

You now are able to receive 65+ reports on health, traits and ancestry instead of exclusively ancestry reports. In addition, the 23andMe site has been redesigned, offering updated tools and features, better functionality, and new content.

Too much grouping of areas. British/Irish together and French/German. I would like to see each group separate. My mother had hers done by a different testing company and some of her areas are not on mine. I will use the company she used to see if there is a better nationality match.
