So glad I did this! It confirmed a lot of our oral family history but there were also surprises! I've wanted to do this for some time now. I would absolutely recommend this everyone!

I was thrilled to find out about information regarding my haplogroup! 23andme also gives more detailed information about the ethnicities of relatively recent ancestors going back to the 1600's.

New cousins!

I've been able to contact two (previously unknown) cousins and they have provided me with a lot of information about my family. It's been a lot of fun and we plan to get together soon for a family reunion!

I loved being part of the research and learning about the science behind different traits. I was able to track my DNA sample which was a good feature. The research questionnaires were fun.
