Pretty Cool Kit

My brother and I got the kits for Christmas last year (2016) We mailed them off the same day and got our results in about 8 weeks later. I like that the site is easy to use and the reports easy to read and understand.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fun and informative

Like a lot of other people who have done the 23andMe DNA test; I thought I had a pretty good idea where my ancestors originated. I was awfully surprised when I received my results because my ancestry is more diverse and different than I expected. It's fun to think about my actual genetic make-up and now I am making plans to travel to a few countries that I have a connection to but had never known about my connection until I received my reports from 23andMe. Overall; a very fun & educational experience!

Is really simple to test and use. However, still trying to figure out how somekne who maybe a relative contacts you.

Great Lineage- don't go for the extra

My bf and I bought this as a Christmas presents for each other and were excited to learn where we were from! His was way more exciting because he's essentially what we joke as a "mutt." I'm 100% European but it was interesting to see which parts. The extra information was not worth the extra $100/each we paid for.

Website is very slow, difficult to manage family members and to compare.

Im not happy with privacy tools..cant use info between ipad, imac and iphone. The info itself was not very exciting either. I expected much more medical info.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A Great Gift

Super interesting and fantastic explanations

My fiancé ordered the heath and ancestry test for us both. Ancestry composition was the most interesting to us. The explanations in the reports were excellent! I think we could have done without the health test, but it was a really great value and interesting. Overall, I would highly recommend the testing from 23 and me!
